BRECON CARREG CARDIFF BAY 10K
The Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay 10K is a flat, fast and friendly event for all ages and abilities. The popular spring-time race, which attracts some of the UK’s top athletes is set in the heart of the Cardiff’s historic Bay. The 10K course takes in all of Cardiff Bay’s most iconic landmarks, starting and finishing in Roald Dahl Plass and passing the Wales Millennium Centre, Mermaid Quay, the Pierhead Building, Senedd, Porth Teigr and the Cardiff Bay Barrage.

ABP NEWPORT MARATHON FESTIVAL
The ABP Newport Wales Marathon is a firm favourite in the Welsh running calendar, boasting one of the flattest marathon courses in the UK. It’s route offers iconic landmarks, like the city’s Transporter Bridge and the stunning scenery of the Gwent Levels – with its coastal wildlife and picturesque medieval villages. New for 2024 – the event has been expanded into an exciting festival of running with marathon, half marathon, 10K and junior race options. Newport is definitely a city on the rise, steeped in history with a multi-cultural vibe – complete with artisan breweries and a rich musical heritage. Races start and finish on the vibrant riverfront in the heart of the regenerated city-centre.

OGI PORTHCAWL 10K
The Ogi Porthcawl 10K is an exciting race in the town known for surf, sports and coastal walks. A summertime hotspot for both locals and visitors – Porthcawl is renowned for shining under the sun. The 10K race takes place on closed-roads, taking in a number of landmarks and stunning seaside spots including Rest Bay, Trecco Bay, Coney Bay, the picturesque town centre, historic Grand Pavillion and the iconic Porthcawl Lighthouse. A host of other sporting activities for families and children are also included in the day’s action – including an electrifying Family Fun Run, giving budding athletes a chance to take their first footsteps into running.

RABBIT RUN
The Rabbit Run is a stunning trail race that offers the unique opportunity to run on the private grounds of the Merthyr Mawr Estate.
Set on the South Wales coast, the Merthyr Mawr Warren National Nature Reserve is a haven for wildlife and a trail-running paradise. The Rabbit Run takes in stunning trails, hills, valleys, a river crossing, and the chance to experience a tumble down the Big Dipper, the highest sand dune in Wales.
The event is delivered in partnership by the Merthyr Mawr Estate, Bridgend Athletics & Run 4 Wales (R4W).

ABP BARRY ISLAND 10K
Sun, sea and sand provide the backdrop to the ABP Barry Island 10K – renowned for its feel good atmosphere and varied route. The race takes place on fully closed roads, offers a rewarding route that showcases all of the town’s most scenic seaside spots and recognisable landmarks. A host of children’s activities including a Family Fun Run and Toddler Dash take place along the promenade – giving budding athletes and families a chance to get in on the action.

CARDIFF 10K
The CDF 10K was established by Welsh charity Kidney Wales in 1986 but has now been added to Run 4 Wales (R4W)’s portfolio of world-class mass participation events. The revival of this iconic and historic event will give thousands of runners the opportunity to take to the streets in the heart of the Welsh capital, as part of a race set to become one of the UK’s largest distance events. The race takes runners on a flat and fast sightseeing tour of Cardiff, with highlights including Cardiff Castle, Central Square and the Principality Stadium.

PRINCIPALITY CARDIFF HALF MARATHON
The Principality Cardiff Half Marathon has grown into one of the largest and most exciting road races in Europe. It is the UK’s second largest half marathon and Wales’ largest multi-charity fundraising event. The race is a member of the SuperHalfs, a global series of the world’s most prestigious half marathons including races in Lisbon, Prague, Copenhagen and Valencia and has been awarded a Elite Race Label by World Athletics. Its flat, fast course passes all of the city’s most breathtaking scenery and iconic landmarks including Cardiff Castle, the Principality Stadium, Civic Centre and stunning Cardiff Bay. Thousands of spectators turn out to cheer on the runners in a city renowned for its sporting passion.
