The Talent Foundry has been announced as the Dell Technologies Management Challenge’s charity partner for 2025.
The social mobility charity works with young people in underserved communities across the UK. It aims to spark ambition and unlock opportunities so that all young people can succeed and thrive as part of a fairer society.
The Talent Foundry recognises that while talent is everywhere, opportunity is not, and realising potential largely depends on circumstances including family, education, skills and living situation. Without the networks, employer connections and confidence, young talent is unnecessarily wasted.
The charity has been working with Dell Technologies since 2012 on a series of motivational programmes to help young people to discover their amazing talents, think big about their future and build their skills and confidence to take their next step into higher education or the world of work.
Last year it supported over 64,000 young people and has a big goal to reach 1 million by 2035.
This year it will be furthering its partnership with the technology company by becoming Dell Technologies partner charity for the Management Challenge taking place in Hay-on-Wye between 5-7 June.
Alongside canoeing, running, mountain biking, hiking and map reading in the nearby Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons), teams will be tasked with trying to raise as much money as possible for the charity.
They’ll be competing against each other to complete the race in the shortest time – and it is in their interest to do some exceptional fundraising. That’s because time will be taken off teams’ adventure race times in accordance with how much they’ve raised.
Jenni Anderson, CEO at The Talent Foundry, said: “With ambition being one of our values, we’re delighted to be the chosen charity for this year’s exciting Dell Technologies Management Challenge.
“We’re looking forward to joining the teams of intrepid challengers in hiking, running, cycling and canoeing across Wales, while using our logic skills to tackle some of the management puzzles enroute.
“A huge thank you to our long-term partners, Dell Technologies for inviting us to be part of this incredible event. And thank you to all the teams who are already smashing their fundraising to support our work with young people, helping us to spark ambition and unlock opportunity across the UK.”
