Leading events delivery organisation, Run 4 Wales, has now added the innovative Dell Technologies Management Challenge to its portfolio of world class mass-participation events.
The team behind the Cardiff University/Cardiff Half Marathon and VELOTHON Wales will venture into the corporate sector for the first time to apply their event expertise into the exhilarating two-day event.
More than 30 of the world’s best known brands will battle it out in the wilds of the Brecon Beacons in a unique competitive event aimed at optimising management team performance whilst raising thousands for charity.
The Dell Technologies Management Challenge begins with a bang as teams of six take on the challenging 10 stage adventure race consisting of running, cycling, hiking and canoeing across the beautiful and brutal landscape.
Once the battle of the Beacons is complete, senior management teams from the global companies will then take part in a real life problem solving challenge, where all submissions will go directly to a charity in need of their help.
More than £50,000 was raised for the Prince’s Trust last year, but that benchmark looks set to be smashed by teams from the likes of Dell, LinkedIn, AB Foods and Wells Fargo, who will be supporting Action for Children in 2019.
Run 4 Wales Chief Executive Matt Newman said: “We are delighted to come on board with the Dell Technologies Management Challenge and use our extensive experience of staging mass-participation events to take this corporate event to another level.
“This event brings together global leaders, such as Dell, Microsoft, LinkedIn, GE, Wells Fargo and major welsh based organisations such as Welsh Water, Aston Martin, Circle IT, South Wales Fire and The Police, and unites them through physical activity.
“Run 4 Wales has already a maturing corporate client base, but the Management Challenge will accelerate our efforts and presence within the corporate market.”
The event offers an unrivalled professional networking environment before inspirational speakers take centre stage to pass on the tales of their own personal battles. Previous speakers have included Greg Searle, Chrissie Wellington and Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson. In 2019, the event will focus on Mental Health with a keynote speech from Alex Danson MBE – a gold winning Olympian and one of the finest hockey players Britain has ever produced.
Hywel Loveluck, CEO of Dell Technologies Management Challenge said: “Both Matt and I have taken our time to understand our respective business model and clients and have been patiently developing our plans in parallel over the last 12 months.
“Run 4 Wales’ considerable expertise and infrastructure will support the expansion of the management challenge as well as, indue course, complementary events around running, cycling and triathlon for the corporate market.
“I am genuinely excited to be joining Matt and his team and focusing on strategy and our client relationships – especially our strategic partner of four years Dell Technologies. I am extremely grateful to Claire Vyvyan and her leadership team who have been instrumental in the success and growth of the Management Challenge.”
Team building, networking and charity are at the core of the Dell Technologies Management Challenge, with each individual leaving the heart of Wales with a powerful sense of achievement and contribution as well as experiencing the magic of the Brecon Beacons.
Claire Vyvyan, Commercial Senior Vice President of Dell Technologies UK And Ireland, said: “The Dell Technologies Management Challenge is a unique and flagship event in the calendar of Dell, its partners and its valued clients. We have an excellent relationship with Hywel and his team and look forward to working with Matt and Hywel and the enlarged team over the next few years to expand and grow the event to the benefit of all stakeholders including our partner charities.”
